Q: What’s the number one Premier League goal you’ve scored this season, and why?
RVP: It’s very difficult to pick one. But if I really have to go and pick one, I would go for the winner at Anfield. Because before that game, I didn’t score yet at Anfield. So, it was always on my mind a little bit, like ‘hmm….I’ve played a couple of games here, but never managed to score there.’
And when I got my first header in, I was like, ‘Okay. That’s fine now, I’ve scored here.’ We’re 1-1, and then that pass from Alex Song came - I think in the 88th minute - and when I hit it, when it came off my foot, I just knew that it had a big chance of actually going in. And then when I scored, I was like, ‘Ah, this might be the winner. At Anfield.’ So it was a small dream coming true that day.
